I wrote" Paddycake" back in the mid eighties using a Boss DR55 drum
machine, a TEAC 3340,
a couple of guitars, a bass and an analog string synthesizer. The tune went
into a state of dormancy for about ten years.
I still haven't found the original recording but I remembered the groove and
started playing it at the
Zanzibar in Pacific Beach, CA 1996.

David Curtis
Around 1999 David Curtis sequenced this version of" Paddycake" from
the ground up--drums, bass, strings, piano, etc.
Literally every part except the guitar, horn section and sax solo was executed
through the touch of his fingers on the keyboard synth/sequencer.
I am thankful, proud and privilaged to have his talent and participation on
my live performances and recordings.
David has an uncanny touch for funk, R&B, blues, jazz, Latin and many
styles.
For sequencing and recording projects he ain't cheap but he is one bad boy.
