Yes it's true. Here I am at 27 in 1978. Check out the coil cord.
Wish I still had that Fender Jazz bass which I had bought for $300. Yikes!
Ash body, maple neck, and light guage strings. I was into Stanley Clarke,
Louis Johnson
and Chick Corea.
Three musical roommates all played in the same band and shared a house
on Carmel Valley Road in Del Mar across the street from the Los Penisquitos
Preserve a.k.a. "The Slough." I used to take a rubber raft and
some oars down into the water and just cruise. These were some of the
best times ever.
Around this time I was recording my first record release "Let's
Get Squished"
and performing with Ron Bolton and George Kosta in the Ron Bolton Group.
This however was not the begining. Let's take a little trip back to 1968.
